My 1st Ever iTunes Podcast Submission Accepted

I’m excited. This is the first time I have ever submitted anything to iTunes®, and it was approved in a day! I perhaps should have waited until I had more episodes in the can, but I never expected to be accepted on my first try, with my very first podcast. Look for the publicized launch when we have 3 or more episodes.

So, this has advantages. I’m starting the podcast hosted on my server, rather than one of the specialty hosts such as Libsyn. I can always move it once we are wildly popular, but for now, iTunes is more important. iTunes, Apple®, created podcasting and many times it will be nice to say “just search for Innovators Pod on iTunes”.

I’ll add this to my ever-growing list of SEO and publishing skills.

And we launched with a bang!logo

Wednesday night, November 5, 2014, saw the launch of our networking events for the New Hampshire Innovation Economy and the first night was spectacular!

NH Innovation Nights is a periodic night of networking and innovative presentations highlighting launching products from the Granite State. Here is the short rundown on the events and how to submit your product for future events. details

We were told that there are already enough networking events for entrepreneurs. We were told that people are burned out hearing pitches. We were even told that only 20 or 30 of the “usuals” would show up. I am happy to report that “they” were wrong on all accounts. We’re still counting but estimates put attendance at close to 100. Mark Kaplan, CEO of our host Alpha Loft, told me that a high percentage of attendees were new faces.

And Governor Maggie Hassan stopped by. Newly reelected the night before, I am sure she was running on fumes, but she spent a half hour meeting with all of our “launchers” and listening to their stories. Here is her short remarks about supporting innovation in New Hampshire.

Google Glass NH Meetup

image

We had an awesome turnout at Dyn Thursday evening.   4 Glass Explorers and about 30 dreamers from kids to developers amd teachers.

I opened by asking if I could take their picture and my screencasted view on the big screen took the photo.  I’ll add that later to a gallery.  Josh Cyr gave a presentation all about Glass, then we passed the Glass so everyone had a chance to try them on.

We had 3 or 4 kids join their parents and the look on the faces was incredible and of course their were many, many selfies taken.
